Eden Youth & Family Center: Brand Strategy & Identity
Challenge
Eden Youth and Family Center believes in helping people — Transforming lives in the community by providing support and opportunities thru a comprehensive array of services for children, youth, and families is at the heart of what they do. Operating for over 30 years, Eden Youth and Family Center’s (EYFC) vision has been to become a multi-service agency serving as a hub to draw critical services to enhance the economic, social, educational, and health needs of Alameda County. Today, EYFC has realized its goal and become a vibrant and inspirational cornerstone of the community.
Solution: Vibrant Opportunities
This concept focuses on the human connectivity, open opportunities and diversity that are at the core essence of this vibrant nonprofit and brand. Using the EYFC logo as inspiration, this concept uses vivid patterns that highlight the depth of the human connection and the vibrancy of it’s people. Black and white photography of authentic diverse families provide impact and drama while the addition of color photography is used for storytelling purposes. Full-color images highlight “real people” in environments that are open and reflect the opportunities that EYFC provides to the community. Bold typography used to call out key themes and ideas is also used as a device to propel the messaging across customer touchpoints. This concept is vibrant, unique and embedded with compelling storytelling that reflects EYFC’s rich history and the inspirational service they provide to the people in their community.

I’d hire Jessica again, and again. Jessica was a fabulous leader. She came on as a Design Manager, and quickly made smart choices and contributed to the SaaS divisions growth. I promoted her to Creative Director and she continued to demonstrate her natural born leadership skills. She is a really good people manager, a fabulous designer and really knows how to simplify complexity and make a difference. Also, a very joyful person – people love working with her.
